YourShop® Security
We are fully aware that security exploits are a common fact. You may have concerns that outsourcing your clients' data might pose a security threat to your company.
YourShop strives to provide and maintain a very high security level with several security-enabled tools plus careful handling of your data. We go one step further and do not even retain credit card numbers.
SSL secured
The YourShop Checkout and Your Account used by your webclients, and the YourShop BackOffice you the shop owner utilize, are all SSL secured. This encryption makes it very difficult for unauthorized persons to view information traveling between computers.
YourShop also provides SSL encryption for your pop3 accounts and the FTP access. We strongly encourage our customers to use SSL capable clients to access these services. Mr. Paul Ford-Hutchinson maintains a fairly complete list of all available SSL capable
FTP clients.
Access Control

YourShop's access control system lets the shop owner restrict employees' access, as well as his or her own, to the shop's BackOffice and resources.
For high-security setups, access to the BackOffice can be limited to one or more fixed IP addresses.
Credit Cards
YourShop does not store your web-clients' credit cards. We work with several
payment service providers, to which web-clients are sent for payment during checkout.
Payment by a payment service provider is a smooth and safe process. Please check out the
partners page to see the full list of all implemented payment service providers.
Backup
Nearly as catastrophic as having data stolen is to lose it. YourShop dumps your database records daily and stores a copy on a backup server.
Additionally customers who choose the file
import/export feature can save their data elsewhere.
Privacy
YourShop does not collect nor share email addresses of your clients under any circumstances.
