YourShop® Payment Services

YourShop is implemented with several Payment Service Providers (PSPs), also commonly known as Payment Gateways. It is our belief that access to these services must be part of the basic e-commerce solution.
We can implement new PSP's on customer demand. See beneath the complete list of currently implemented PSPs.

Internet Merchant Account

You must have an Internet Merchant Account from your bank to be able to process Credit Cards on the Internet. This requirement does not apply if you process your payments by PayPal®.
Once in posession of your Internet Merchant Account, select your PSP, or several if needed. The PSP permits execution of payments on the payment server in a secure manner, i.e. SSL encrypted.

Activating a Payment Service Provider (PSP)

It's best to read the YourShop BackOffice help for the PSP in question, and then set the PSP-provided secure and personal parameters into the corresponding YourShop fields. You are then ready to accept payments by the PSP.
YourShop lets you show the PSP's logo, and you can also name the PSP as it suits you. You may even furnish a 256 byte long description about the PSP or payment services that are provided if you wish.

Conventional Payment Means

YourShop lets you create conventional payment means, for example by invoice, check, cash..., or any other that does not imply realtime money capture by a PSP.

Country Payment Service Attribution

Attribute in the YourShop BackOffice at least a single PSP or conventional payment means for every country in which you sell your products.
This permits, e.g., letting customers in all countries pay by Mastercard or Visa, but allowing your own country's clients the possiblity of paying by invoice.
